INM Out The Door Top Coat Update 08/31/2009

So, I’ve been using this top coat with different base coats and other brands of polish and my experience has changed (see my original review here; I added this update to that post also). I’d use this before bed (after waiting 20 minutes) and wake up with sheet marks. I’d also find dents and chips in less than 24 hours. At first, I thought the OPI formula just stuck better than the rest, but then I used it over “Purple with a Purpose” (also by OPI) and I had sheet marks, dents and chips the next day. It looked like the 5-day-test pic within two days. I’m not sure what happened the first time around, but it’s not as good as I thought it was anymore. It doesn’t seem to dry polish completely or help my manicure last.

From now on, I’ll be testing out nail products for a longer time before reviewing so I won’t have to do updates like this. Sorry ’bout that, pretty peeps.

My Luscious Greens Palette By Lauren Luke

If you watch beauty tutorials on YouTube, you’ve probably heard of Lauren Luke, a.k.a. panacea81. I’m such a fan of hers; her videos are fun to watch and easy to follow. She’s helpful, always cheerful, and her accent? Super cute. Luke has become so popular that she has made her very own line of makeup! Five palettes that include everything you need for eyes, lips and cheeks. Two eye primers, three coordinating shadows, two lip colors, a blush, and gel liner all in one package. It’s got the whole sha-bang!

I’m crushing hard on the My Luscious Greens palette. I have a major love for green since it’s one of my fav colors. Each palette is $32.50, which I think is pretty affordable considering you get almost everything you need for a full face of makeup.

Lauren Luke is so talented and deserves all the success that’s she’s worked so hard for. How cool is it that one woman who put up videos to help others with makeup has come out with very own company? It’s such a great success story that I hope inspires others to do what they love.

This palette is currently sold out and I’m not too surprised. I mean, look at it!

School begins tomorrow, so I’m preparing for the battle of crashing classes. My first class starts super early at 7:30AM! I’m going to have to get up earlier than I ever have since high school. Blog Theft Is NOT Cool 08/30/2009

Hey, my lovelies.

I’m a little aggravated at the moment. I log on to check my blog for comments, stats, etc., and in my stats I see that another site referred someone to my blog. “How nice,” I thought, “let’s see what this site is all about.” So, I click the link only to find that my entire blog is embedded on this website that has more ads than PerezHilton.com. Can you believe that some people have the nerve to steal the work of someone else to try and profit from it?!

I work hard to share my passion with all of you and it really disgusts me that someone would do such a thing. Stealing the work of others is never cool. I was going to show you all a screen grab of the site, but then decided against it. They don’t deserve the publicity.

If someone wants to take something from my blog, please give me credit and link back to this site. Don’t blatantly steal my work, or anyone else’s for that matter. Being a thief makes you lazy, but never beautiful.

Thanks for reading. I really needed to get that off my chest.
