I was at Target a few days ago and look what I found. E.L.F. Cosmetics, woohoo! I literally gasped with excitement when I saw the display. People around me looked at me like I was nuts, haha! Sorry for the crappy cell. phone pic. I couldn’t get a pic of the whole display ’cause there were people hovering at the bottom, looking at the bigger gift sets. As you can see, lots of items had already been purchased.

I’m a big fan of their Brightening Eye Color quads and highly recommend them. They rival high-end shadows with amazing color pay-off and staying power, AND they only cost a dollar! I got a trio of Liquid Eyeshadows to try out. I’ll let you know if they’re any good. ;-)

Have you tried E.L.F.? Whatcha think of the brand?

Hey, lovelies! Doing anything fun today? I’m going to be in school all day. Yes, on a Saturday. Jealous? Lol, yeah right! It’s a total bummer, but hey, I need this class. I may do something tonight, but I’m not sure yet.

No matter what you’re doing today, I hope you have an awesome and safe Halloween! :-D

China Glaze Medallion: It’s A Party On My Nails! 10/30/2009

Another nail post today? Yes! Why? ‘Cause I love this color so much I couldn’t wait to show you. I mean, look at it!

Disclosure: I bought this on my own.

Glitter in the shade. Niiice.

ChinaGlazeMedallion2-wm

Blurry with flash. It's waaay more glitterific in real life, though.

I used Orly Bonder, 3 coats of Medallion, and 2 coats of INM top coat (my Poshe wasn’t workin’ with me so I had to use this as backup). I don’t care what anyone says, disco nails will always be in season for me! Off I go to rock out to Lady Gaga with my glitter nails. Tell me you’ve heard Bad Romance.

Happy weekend, y’all. Paaaarty!

Glowing Blue: Finger Paints Artist’s Sapphire 10/29/2009

Hey, pretty peeps! My internet connection’s been going out on me since yesterday, which is why I haven’t posted anything ’till now. I hope yesterday was great and that your Thursday has been even better!

I was at Sally Beauty one day when this nail polish from Finger Paints (above) caught my eye. Artist’s Sapphire is a deep blue that has a slight flash of purple to it. My camera couldn’t capture the glowy-ness of the this color, but it really does practically glow in real life. It’s also not my best application, but whatevs. My polish application has been off lately, but that doesn’t keep me from painting my nails, haha!

Anyway, I better get this up before my internet goes out on me again.

Whatcha think of this color?

Have an awesome rest of your day! :-D

Bring On The Drama With Aromaleigh Pure Drama Eyeliner 10/27/2009

Looking to spice up your eye makeup? Pure Drama Eyeliner from Aromaleigh will do just that with a punch of sparkle!

AromaleighPureDramaEyeliner1-wm

Miss K sent me samples of four colors to try along with the Indelible Liner Sealant. Here are the color descriptions straight from Aromaleigh’s website, since they’re pretty accurate.

  • Drama Queen Cocoa – The sultriest neutral around. Smokey without being overdone, a true tiger’s eye to behold… ramped up a few notches with shimmers of hot chocolate sparked throughout, there is nothing tame about this…
  • Drama Queen Red – The truest depths of bordeaux garnet with the occasional sheen of the darkest ruby, highlighted with bright flashes of hot zinfandel.
  • Drama Queen Teal – Truly balanced gem of rare beauty. Not too green, not to blue, the perfect smoked teal with a hint of satin sheen sparked with flashes of bright teal shine and glitz.
  • Drama Queen Violet – An amethyst of unparalleled beauty. A hue as deep as arabian nights and regal as a crown, all topped with the ultimate dramatic shimmer and sparkle of ultra-violet glimmers.

Don’t they sound pretty?

Pictures don’t do these justice, but here they are swatched dry and with the liner sealant. Really, you just have to see them in real life. The depth and sparkle of these just don’t come through well enough in the pictures.

Swatches in the shade.

Oops, I dabbed a little much Drama Queen Teal and made a big chunk.

Swatches in the sun. Hello, shimmer!

Again, pics don’t do these justice. The intensity of these is amazing!

These can be used wet or dry, but I prefer using them with the liner sealant as it makes the colors more intense and extends the wear. These also look great worn all over the eyes as eye shadow. Apply any one of these over a black base and bam! You got a gorgeous smokey eye. The liner sealant can be used to intensify any eye shadow or transform it into a liner. Loves it! All of it!

You can find Pure Drama Eyeliners and Indelible Liner Sealant at Aromaleigh’s website, along with their huge selection of products. They also provide coupon codes and have weekly sales, so def check out their stuff. It’s awesome!

P.S. There’s been a lot of fuss about many mineral makeup companies repackaging products bought from wholesalers and selling them at much higher prices. Aromaleigh never repackages any of their products. They formulate everything by themselves to create truly unique products and colors. You can trust that you’re getting original products when buying from them. :)

Happy Tuesday, ya’ll! :-D
