Hey everyone! Did the holidays come quick this year or what? I’m all antsy, yet excited about it. My whole family’s gonna to here. Man, it’s gonna be a loud house, ha! I’m glad we’re all going to be together, gorging ourselves with way too much food and being all merry and whatnot. Ok, enough of my rambling.

Here’s my holiday manicure!

A coat of China Glaze Luna layered over two coats of China Glaze Recycle. Luna is a sheer, icy blue with tons of small and large holo glitter. Recycle is a nice shade of medium gray with blue-ish tones. The pic above isn’t the greatest, but it’s closest to what the colors look like in real life.

Wearing Luna alone did not look cute. The glitter kept shifting even after waiting a few minutes between each coat. Three coats later and it was a chunky, uneven hot mess. I wiped it off and started all over again, but with two coats of Recycle this time, and that made Luna sooo much better. It provided a nice base that also brought out the blue tones in Luna.

I loves me the sparkle!

It’s festive for the holidays (though I’d wear this look year-round) without being cheesy. *No red and/or green, no poinsettia nail art, or 3D snowmen popping out of my nail beds. Just a nice glitter bomb!

I know I mentioned this when I showed you my polish haul, but I’ll tell you again. The main reason I bought Luna was because it’s the name of my bunny, and I loves her to freakin’ death! Here she is in all her cuteness, my Luna.

Happy Tuesday, ya’ll!

So, I was going through my blog reader and this awesome news came from Beauty and the Blog (Sephora’s blog). Urban Decay will be releasing a Book of Shadows inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland!

Tucked inside a hidden drawer lies 16 best-selling eyeshadows, with names like White Rabbit, Jabberwocky, and Oraculum. A travel-size Primer Potion and two 24/7 Eye Pencils are also included to round out your eye look. Our favorite part? The top opens to reveal a pop-up scene of Alice in the mushroom forest, which abounds with towering mushrooms and a very peculiar, hookah-smoking caterpillar.

I haven’t been swayed by the first two Book of Shadows, but this? Um, can I pre-order?!

This will be released on Dec. 28th. Mark your calendars, pretty peeps. Get excited!

Update 12/23: The release of this is currently unknown, but it will be available at urbandecay.com first. I’ll let you know any more info as soon I find out. On the bright side, there are more detailed pictures of the palette at Pursebuzz.com. Yay!

Remember Caboodles? I think almost every girl had one to hold their makeup, hair accessories and various girly doodads. Mine was purple and teal, full of Mac and Ben Nye. I took that case with me on all of my Thai Classical Dance performances.

Story time: In my parents’ effort to make sure I learn about my ethnic heritage, they put me in a Thai Classical Dance class at the local Thai Buddhist Temple. I was 4 years old. Starting that dance class is my first significant memory. Performances required lots of theatrical makeup, but I obviously wasn’t doing my own makeup at 4 years old. As I grew older (about 13-14 years old), I started learning how to do my own performance makeup. I started experimenting with different products and brands to see what worked for me. More and more products started piling up, and I had to put ‘em somewhere. Enter Caboodles.

I stopped Thai Dancing at around 18 years old, but those classes turned me into a proud Thai-American and a crazed beauty addict. Thanks mom and dad!

Now, back to the news.

The company seemed to have faded, but now they’re back and better than ever. The new train cases and organizers have undergone makeovers (like the cute lace covered one above, loves it!) and are even being used by pros on TV and film sets.

Glad to see Caboodles back in business! My train case is over flowing.

I also love the feeling I get after I compliment someone else. Knowing that I gave them a boost in their confidence makes me feel good about myself.
